It all started a couple of years ago, when Pascal bought his very first accoustic guitar. The next week a friend was celebrating his birthday and Pascal came over with his guitar and started to play some notes.
Hearing Pascal play, Arianne came up with the idea to start a band. And so they asked Guus (who just started playing bass guitar) to join the band.
With two guitarists (Marcel and Pascal), a bass guitarist (Guus) and a singer (Arianne), there was only one vacancy left: a drummer. The search for a starting drummer proved to be more difficult than they thought, so they asked their friend Robin to fill in temporarily. Since Robin had his own band SuffiX, the band (at this point called “Extinct”) nearly ever practiced.
A year had passed, but fortunately Arianne met Joris. He told her he'd just started to play on the drums and was looking for a beginning band. They all quickly agreed to have Joris join the band, for they finally found a drummer.
From that moment, the band changed it's name and..
Bittersweet Lemonade was a fact!
Three years and two demo's later the band and Guus went seperate ways. He will always stay in our memory for the great guy that he was but things just didn't worked out anymore and Guus moved to Den Haag.
Fortunatly Pascal had a friend from work Robbert who played the bass guitar and he was interested to try out. It was an immediate succes and Robbert desided to stay.
It has been this way for a while now. And we are glad to say that Bittersweet Lemonade is playing better than ever!
